    How many guests does the barn hold?

        The barn will seat up to 240 guests which includes the wedding party. In addition, there are 6 patio tables with umbrellas with a total of 24 outside chairs.

    How do the payments work? Is there a payment plan?

        We require a $1500 holding deposit to secure your date. This deposit is due at the time the contract is signed and is non-refundable after a 7 day grace period. An additional $1500 is due 120 days after the contract signing date. A third $1500 holding deposit is due 120 days prior to the wedding date and the final balance must be paid in full 60 days prior to the wedding.

    What form of payment is preferred?

        Presently, we are only set up to accept cash, checks, or money orders.

    Do fees change if we choose not to have our ceremony on the property?

        Our packages are designed with a built-in savings and cannot be altered. However, custom packages can be built.

    Are there any hidden costs?

        We are upfront with our clients about every fee. We do require all clients to purchase their beverages through us. Event insurance must also be obtained if serving alcoholic beverages. All fees are provided in written form during tours and/or upon inquiry.

    How much is the security deposit and how does that work?

        The security deposit for use of the barn and grounds is $750. The security deposit for use of the lodge is $500. Both deposits are due 10 days prior to weekend rental and refundable providing no damage.

    What are your alcohol & beverage policies?

        All alcohol & beverages must be purchased through WhipPoorWill Venue. We offer several options at very affordable prices, as well as, the option of a cash or open bar. We are governed by Missouri laws. All rules and regulations governing our alcohol policies are written and shared prior to contract signing. We do not allow guests to bring in coolers or beverages of any kind.

    Can we bring in our own vendors?

        Yes…you are welcome to bring in your own photographer, DJ, etc. We do charge $300 for the use of caterer's not on our list. We have a fairly extensive vendor's list for our clients reference.

    How many weddings does the venue host each weekend?

        Only yours! Our job is to focus on YOU…if we have more than one wedding each weekend, then the focus changes to a “rush” mode. The wedding day goes by so fast…we don’t want to rush you or your guests. Thus, we allow time over a 3 day period for our clients to do what they need to do!

    Do the packages include time for a rehearsal and decorating?

        Yes...you are welcome to have a rehearsal and decorate on Friday prior to your wedding day. If desiring to have a rehearsal dinner in the barn, the fee is $350 for up to 32 guests which includes tea, water, lemonade, ice and cups.

    What time does the reception and dance have to end?

        Music must end at 10:30 pm and all guests are expected to depart by 11:00 pm.

    Who does the clean-up?

        We do ask our clients to do some general clean up. This basically includes trash pickup and clearing tables. However, we allow time the day after your wedding to finish the cleanup and pack up your things. There is a $300 clean up fee for clients desiring to add on this service.

    How does parking work?

        We have a large gravel parking area and 2 parking attendants. We also have designated handicapped parking and a special spot for the bride. The parking lot is well lit.

    What happens in case of rain?

        Rain backup plans are a must for weddings and we have that covered! Ceremonies can take place in the barn and there is plenty of space for that to happen.

    What kind of chairs and décor does the venue have?

        Our chairs inside the barn are high end cushioned banquet chairs. In addition, we have white folding chairs and wooden benches for the ceremony for a total seating capacity of 230.
        In addition, we have an endless selection of décor to choose from whether your style is rustic, farmhouse, vintage, or classic. Our on-site showroom makes decor selection very easy. We offer various table centerpieces, florals, garland, cake & dessert stands, ceremony decor, signage, and lots more.

    Do you offer wedding coordinating/planning services?

        We do offer rehearsal, day of wedding, and all vendor coordinating for additional fees. Our All-Inclusive Elite Package includes coordinating services.

    Are their overnight accommodations available?

        WhipPoorwill lodge will accommodate up to 15 overnight guests and it is located on the venue property. The nearest town with a nice hotel (Troy, MO) is about a 20-25 minute drive. Additional hotel lodging is included on our vendor list. Further, there are several Airbnb rental homes close to our venue.

    Are there any restrictions for having a wedding and reception on the property?

        There are some general restrictions which are covered in the contract which are pretty standard to all venues.

    Can I stop by anytime for a tour?

        Tours must be scheduled. We generally schedule tours 6 days a week and offer evening tours.

    How do I reserve a date?

        Contact us to reserve a date. We generally book weddings a year in advance, so it’s important to plan early. Please note that we cannot reserve or hold dates without a contract signature and holding deposit. Contact Us
